DATABASE MANAGEMENT

DATABASE MANAGEMENT
Database is a place to store a data in a system and database management system is a software collection of data that is arranged, organized and store in alphabetical order.
Functions of the database are
1. to store
2. Organizes
3. Control
The examples of places where database applications are used include hospitals, banks, company and business. The component of database is Data item is a field in a data processing and it is a piece of information and Schema describes the organization of data and the relationship within the database.
For one to create the data you must relate the database management with ERD. ERD is an entity while field is a column of a table.
We learnt all the fundamentals of database from field, record, key field, table, relational database and objective.
DBMS (Database management system)is a software package for manipulating databases and examples like , clippers......etc.
In the DBMS we have Data definition language
Data manipulation language and structure querying language. We learnt all it’s functions.
There are three types of DBL and they are
DDL (data definition language)
DML (data manipulation language)
DCL (data control language)....all it examples were given.
I would like to talk about DBMS users they are
End users, application programmers and Database administration. Database Models also are structure, characteristic, description and organization.   The basic data for building block for all data models are Entity, Attribute and Relationship. We learnt all it function and the relationship has three types that is
One to one (relationship between one entity to one entity)
One to many (relationship between one entity to many entity)
Many to many (relationship between many entity to many entity) and all its examples were given.
We have three types of database models

Hierarchical database
Network database
Relational database
Object-relational database
The fellow week we had a test in which my performance was good.
THANK YOU.
